To help maintain our high levels of customer service, event delivery and internal expertise we’d like to welcome Jenny Li, Emily Crawford, Mia Robertson and Gail Zuckerwise to the Bluehat family:
Emily Crawford – From an early age I have been interested in sport (mainly judo) and the outdoors, hence I studied Coach Education and Sports Performance at the University of Bath, whilst training full time in judo at the English Institute of Sport. I then went on to study Outdoor Education and Adventure Recreation, and moved to Cumbria to work as an Outdoor Instructor. I then fell into the world of corporate events by chance in 2006 when I joined The MotivAction Group as an Event Manager, and left them this year as a Senior Event Manager. I was very much involved in event delivery, managing a wide range of activities for client groups of 4-2,5000 my favourites being treasure trails, film making, chocolate making, family fun days and multi-activity days. I’m hoping to continue going out on events that I PM to utilise my extensive skills from the field.
For a couple of years in the middle of my MotivAction career I took some time out to travel round South East Asia and Australasia, returning to New Zealand on a working visa to work as crew on the Sky Jump at the Auckland Sky Tower. I also worked as a freelancer as a high ropes instructor and duty manager for Go Ape, event staff for a range of other corporate event companies and a Flowboarding instructor at the Bedford Flowhouse. Generally I love all things active and adventurous, but my main hobby is wrestling (freestyle and Sombo), going to the gym and looking after my menagerie of pets (chickens, snakes and fish).
Mia Robertson – A dedicated and creative Project Manager, previously worked as Events Manager in charge of exclusive hires of a Supperclub and Cabaret venue, and then moved on to agency and freelance projects for various high profile clients.
I have an insatiable love for shopping for clothes on ASOS (on first name terms with my DPD delivery driver). Love to travel, earlier this year I travelled to Malaysian Borneo on and Orangutan and Tribes tour. Fun-fact, I arm wrestled a tribes woman – and won (of course, I’m from Manchester!).
Gail Zuckerwise – Gail joins us as Trainee New Business Manager. Her main role is to generate leads for the sales team, working closely with both the sales and marketing teams to drive new business for the company. Gail came to Bluehat shortly after completing her doctorate in cultural studies at University College London, where she researched city marketing and branding and the creative industries. Originally from New York, Gail spent four years in Amsterdam, prior to her time in London, where she completed two graduate degrees and worked as a social media analyst and social science journal editor. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to live music and visiting museums and exhibitions around the city.
Jenny Li – Trained as a journalist but decided to pursue a career in marketing instead. Jenny previously worked for the Atheneaum hotel in Mayfair as a Marketing Executive. Originally from Portsmouth, she previously worked as Marketing Co-ordinator for an apprenticeship specialist company and a recruitment company.
Jenny loves her high heel shoes which she wouldn’t be seen without. Interests include visiting museums and going to the theatre, with her favourite musical being Les Miserables.
